Kiambu senator Kimani Wamatangi has proven beyond reasonable doubts that he is only in William Ruto’s United Democratic Alliance (UDA) by body and not by soul.
Weeks after joining UDA at the Thika Stadium in pomp and color, it has now emerged that Kimani Wamatangi is now demanding to be a member of President Uhuru’s Jubilee party which has since joined Azimio.
The clever senator who is eyeing the Kiambu gubernatorial seat on UDA used his original national Identity card to join the ruling party while he only used the infamous passport to join UDA. Did he find things rough in UDA? Probably yes and it is why he has made a u turn.
According to the Jubilee party secretary general Jeremiah Kioni, Wamatangi sent them an eight page letter on Monday morning, saying that he is still in Jubilee despite his recent move to join Ruto’s UDA.
As a result, Jeremiah Kioni wondered why the senator was practicing political conmaship by masquerading as a Jubilee member yet he made it clear that he was joining Ruto’s UDA. Funnily, Kimani wamatangi even attended the UDA national Delegates Conference (UDA) at the Kasarani Stadium.
“This Kimani Wamatangi recently said that he was leaving Jubilee for UDA and even went to the Kasarani NDC. We then told him to leave the Jubilee office if he had decided to join the UDA. Now he sent an eight page letter this morning claiming that he is still a member of the Jubilee party. This is the political conmanship we are talking about in our country. We highly condemn political conmanship. If you decide it is UDA then it is UDA and if you decide it is Jubilee let it be Jubilee.”
Kioni added that Kimani Wamatangi risks being punished by political parties which may make him not get any meaningful seat in the country.
“Wamatangi we have credible reports that he has registered in Jubilee using his original ID while he has registered in UDA using his Kenyan passport. That is conmanship and he may find it extremely difficult to eye any seat in this country.” He said.
On their side, Kenyans challenged Kimani wamatangi to declare which coalition he was backing since the Jubilee he is forcing himself into has since signed a working agreement with ODM and other like minded parties to join Azimio.
