Nigerian actress Mercy Johnson has been trending in social media after accusing a teacher of bullying her 8-year old daughter.
Taking to her Instagram account, Mercy said that her daughter is being bullied because her mother is a celebrity.
“Since when is it a crime to be Mercy Jonson’s daughter-Okojie’s daughter? Before I consider myself a public figure, I am first a wife and a mother to four kids, that is my priority in this life, and nobody can make my child feel less than who she is because her mother is a public figure,” she said.
She went on to reveal that the teacher in question had been showing up at her daughter’s class just to intimidate her.
“I do not honestly care if someone does not like me, I do not expect everyone to, but take your hate on my child? Unacceptable! A teacher at my child’s school has been bullying my daughter constantly for two whole weeks. She is not her class teacher, yet she shows up in her class everyday to intimidate her,” Mercy shared.

After Mercy’s revelation, a lady came out guns blazing accusing Mercy of sending goons to attack the teacher.
According to the woman identified as Nancy Chidera, Mercy’s daughter Purity had been involved in an indiscipline case and when the headteacher corrected her, Mercy was displeased.
“How would you as a mother-celebrity go to your daughter’s school and instigate your daughter to fight and cause havoc in her new school. Your daughter was sent out of Greensprings because of your demental attitude and the fact that you didn’t train your children well and you brought that stupid character to Chrisland VGC. Why would you go to your daughter’s school and fight a head teacher because she corrected your child,” part of Nancy’s side of story read.
Nancy has however come out to ask for forgiveness from the actress as well as her husband Prince Okojie saying that she was misinformed even after claiming that she was at the school when the incident happened.
According to her, she based her judgement on what she heard without critically examining the issue. Nancy further revealed that she’s received several death threats from individuals and pleaded with Nigerians to take it easy on her due to her mental health.
