Raila Odinga’s daughter Winnie Odinga did not attend President William Ruto’s meeting with EALA MPs at State House, Nairobi. Winnie Odinga’s absence has resulted to a lot of reaction from Kenyans on why she never appeared, is it because she doesn’t love President William Ruto?
Following their election last month, Ruto met with the MPs yesterday. All of the EALA Mps-elect were present, with the exception of Winnie Odinga, as seen in photos shared by State House Kenya.
In attendance were all EALA MPs chosen from the Kenya Kwanza side, including: Hassan Omar, a former Mombasa senator; David Sankok, a previous nominee for the House of Representatives; Zipporah Kering, a former representative from Nandi; Mwangi Maina, a youth leader; and Iman Falhada.
Kanini Kega, a former Kieni MP, Suleiman Shabal, a businessman from Mombasa, and Kennedy Musyoka, the son of Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka, were all present on the Azimio camp.
Why was Winnie missing at EALA MPs meeting?
“Winnie Odinga missed President Ruto’s State House meeting with EALA MPs because she is preparing for the Kamkunji meeting” says Junet Mohamed.
The President requested that they concentrate on commerce and investment in the area during the State House discussion.
“There are no political parties when it comes to commerce and investment; please do everything you can for our nation and economy.” President William Ruto insists.
