Willis Raburu Now Supports Abortion After Getting A New Born

Date:

Citizen TV presenter Willis Raburu has come out to give his support for the legalization of abortion.

Raburu supported abortion, one of the issues that remain sensitive in Kenya, by sharing the news about Mexico decriminalizing the act.

The 10/10 host said that it was “progress” for the North American country to decriminalize abortion.

Willis’ support for the act is contrary to the Kenyan constitution which still views the act as illegal. Kenya’s constitution states that abortion is illegal unless it is allowed by a licensed medical practitioner for medical reasons, or the pregnancy has put the life of the mother of the child in danger.

“Abortion is not permitted unless, in the opinion of a trained health professional, there is need for emergency treatment or the life or health of the mother is in danger, or if permitted by any other written law,” Section 24 of the Kenyan Constitution says.

Raburu’s statement on abortion comes three months after he and his girlfriend Ivy Namu received their firstborn baby.

Raburu revealed the birth of their son in a snap post on his social media page. He posted a photo of him holding on to the baby’s hands. He accompanied the photo with the song Million Little Miracles by Maverick City Music and Elevationto express his feeling about the arrival of the baby.
