Kenyans, if your dream is to have a peaceful country then you better drop it since Nominated member of parliament in East Africa Legislative Assembly Florence Jematiah Sergon is doing all she can to bring war.
In a viral video seen by Sonko News, Florence Jematiah has told the locals of Riftvalley to buy guns and stock bullets in preparation for anarchy.
In her own words, she has challenged bodaboda (motorcycle) riders that if they can afford one, then they can easily afford to buy guns and bullets too.
To further demonstrate her commitment to cause instability in the country, the nominated member of parliament even vowed to come up with a paybill number which she would use to seek for funds for buying guns and bullets.
She also proposed that the NG-CDF and Affirmative Fund be channeled to purchasing such weapons during this political year instead of using the same to develop the regions.
However, Kenyans were not happy with the sentiments by Florence Jematiah, forcing majority of them to urge the International Criminal Court – ICC and Directorate of Criminal Investigations – DCI and National Cohesion and Integration Commission to intervene before it’s too late.
Such careless words by the nominated member of parliament were also witnessed prior to the 2007/2008 post election violence where certain leaders went on a mission to beat the drums of war. Fast-forward, the aftermath of the post election violence saw more than 1300 die with more than 600k displaced.
In the meantime,Meru senator Mithika Linturi was recently arrested by the hawk eyed criminal detectives following his hateful remarks at William Ruto’s Eldoret rally.
The arrest came in the wake of a directive by the directorate of public prosecutions boss Mr. Noordin Haji who wrote to the Inspector General police Mr. Hillary Mutyambai to arrest, investigate and share the findings with his office.
Mithika Linturi’s video went viral where he advanced hate speech at a United democratic alliance rally held at the Eldoret Sports Club. Mithika made it clear that the madoadoa ( non locals) in Eldoret ought to be driven away.
Mithika Linturi said: “Watu wa Uasin Gishu musicheze na Kenya, na kile nawaomba ni kwamba madoadoa yale mulionayo hapa muweze kuondoa‘,”
These sentiments drew sharp criticisms from Kenyans and key political leaders in the country, arguing that such remarks were a recipe for violence towards the 2022 general elections.
