The directorate of criminal investigations is appealing to the public to help with any information that will lead to the arrest of four wash wash suspects.
This is after some videos surface online showing one of the suspects receiving a thorough beating for exposing their illegal business.
“Kindly watch the videos including the three following this post and assist us in identifying the suspect through our #FichuakwaDCI anonymous hotline,” DCI said in a Facebook post.
According to the post, the four suspects are believed to be part of the larger syndicate in the illegal business of printing fake currency.
The videos posted by DCI show three suspects subjecting their accomplice to a beating after he went to party while flashing a bunch of the notes in company of two ladies.
In one of the videos, the accomplice with a huge sum of money is heard saying that he would take the ladies for a trip to the coast in December while urging anyone close to join them.
“The accomplice who appeared intoxicated in a drinking spree, flaunted the money as he promised the seemingly excited women an adventurous and fun filled trip to the coast,” DCI said.
As a result of that, the other three suspects stormed his house, tied him and beat him up accusing him of disloyalty.
“Their plans however went up in smoke and ended in premium tears for the man, when his accomplices learns about his escapades,” the post by DCI read.
“They stormed his house and descended on him mercilessly accusing him of disloyalty, betrayal and not working smart,” DCI further revealed.
This comes several days after DCI detectives arrested three suspects believed to be part of the criminals involved with printing fake currency in Kileleshwa.
