Vin Diesel Pleads With Dwayne Johnson To Show Up For The Filming Of Fast And Furious Finale

Date:

Fast and Furious actors Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson alias The Rock have been in a conflict for quite some time.

Their highly publicized feud began in 2016 during the final stages of shooting the 2017 installment dubbed The Fate of The Furious.

This is after Diesel who doubles as the producer of the movie became too tough on The Rock who played the role of agent Luke Hobbs. Diesel plays the role of Dominic Torreto.

After the encounter with Diesel, Johnson went on to his Instagram and posted, “Some (male co-stars) conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t.”

Diesel however defended his toughness saying that as the producer, he had to ensure that the Hobbs character gets the performance it needed.

“It was a tough character to embody, the Hobbs character. My approach at the time was a lot of tough love to assist in getting that performance where it needed to be,” he said in an interview with Men’s Health in June this year.

Recently, Johnson said that he and Diesel are philosophically two different people who approach the business of moviemaking in two very different ways.

In July, he said that he will no longer feature in Fast and Furious. The Rock joined the movie during its fifth installment in 2011, Fast Five,  and appeared in the sixth, seventh and eight installments before proceeding with his own movie dubbed Hobbs and Shaw.

Diesel is now ready to end the blood between them and is calling upon The Rock to feature during the Franchise finale, Fast 10.

In an Instagram post, the 54-year old pleaded with The rock to return to the movie so that he can fulfill the promise he made to Paul Walker, who played the role of Brian O’Conner before his death in 2013.

“My little brother Dwayne… the time has come. The world awaits the finale of Fast 10. As you know, my children refer to you as Uncle Dwayne in my house. There is not a holiday that goes by that they and you don’t send well wishes… but the time has come. Legacy awaits. I told you years ago that I was going to fulfill my promise to Pablo. I swore that we would reach and manifest the best Fast in the finale that is 10!” Vin said.

He said that there was no other better person to play the role of Hobbs in  the movie other than him.

“I say this out of love… but you must show up, do not leave the franchise idle you have a very important role to play. Hobbs can’t be played by no other. I hope that you rise to the occasion and fulfill your destiny,” he further stated.
