Laikipia Women Rep Cate Waruguru is still bitter weeks after losing in UDA nominations that were conducted mid last month.
While addressing Laikipia East locals, Waruguru said that she is not supporting UDA’s six piece voting, whereby locals are urged to vote for UDA candidates in all the 6 elective posts.
She called upon residents to vote for the people of their choice in the other positions but preserve the presidency for Ruto adding that those seeking seats on UDA ticket should not hide behind the second in command.
“Under Kenya Kwanza we are only agreeing on William Ruto’s top seat but below that, we will discuss. I used to campaign for Irungu publicly. He is the first person to betray me, beat me, do me wonders, and steal my votes. I leave it to God,” Waruguru painfully lamented.
She went ahead to mention other people who participated in rigging her out including Amin Deddy, whom she lost to in the Laikipia East UDA primaries.
Waruguru further said that her party leader is bound to lose elections to his competitors if he was depending on the four to deliver votes for him in Laikipia. She however added that she will protect his votes by all means
“Irungu, Kinyua, Kagiri, Deddy we are watching you from below. But Ruto, if those are the people you are depending on here, just know that Azimio will overtake you because Azimio have prepared themselves, they are united, they will get money from the government. UDA people are rude, once they have the ticket, they are waiting to be sworn in. The truth and the reality is Ruto has votes and I will protect and defend them as a mother,” Waruguru said.
Waruguru however said that there was no problem even if she was denied votes since she is a hustler and her life will go on but those who will be in trouble are the voters who have nothing.
“I can sell coffee, tea, mandazi and my life will go on,” she noted and said ‘Asante ya punda ni mateke’ in her conclusion.
