William Ruto’s daughter Charleen Ruto took many people by surprise when she viciously attacked a woman calling her ugly and asked DCI to immediately arrest her.
The whole drama happened on Facebook where Charleen uses her verified account to express herself on social media.
Ruto’s daughter was trolled by one Mariam Sophie in one of her posts, and she felt so offended that she had to hit back.
Charleen savagely hit back at Mariam Sophie, she expressed her bitterness and anger while responding to her critic.
The DP’s daughter called Mariam Sophie ugly and asked Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to immediately arrest her.
“Directorate of criminal investigations- DCI such a bully with ugly faces should be rotting in Langata. Multiple times she’s all over and her time is up,” wrote Charleen Ruto.
Charleen’s post raised concerns even among her father’s supporters who called on her to immediately pull down the post.
Ruto’s supporters expressed concerns that Charleen’s post could dent the DP’s reputations in the eyes of Kenyan voters.
Some people who commented on Charleen’s post called her out for being a spoilt brat with a sense of entitlement, saying she feels she can use DCI anytime she wants to punish her critics on social media.
Charleen ultimately pulled down the controversial post, but the damage had already been done as people took screenshots before she deleted it.
Ruto’s children are active on social media unlike other politicians’ children who prefer to keep a low profile.
The DP’s eldest son Nick Ruto regularly comments on politics on his Facebook account and sometimes attacks his father’s political opponents.
Nick has not joined politics outright but has been attending private functions and commenting on politics on social media.
In a post on November 5th, Nick Ruto confronted his dad’s fiercest political rival Raila Odinga warning him that he will suffer a humiliating defeat in 2022.
