Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino has taken the initiative of warning Vihiga county locals against embracing the wheelbarrow.
Wheelbarrow has so much been associated with the Hustler nation, which is led by Deputy President William Ruto and the tool is claimed to be UDA’s symbol.
On many occasions, the second in command has been captured donating wheelbarrows to hustlers as one way of supporting their work, during his campaigns.
According to Babu, when one uses a wheelbarrow for a longtime, his marriage might be destroyed because of the harm it causes to his hands.
“The Wheelbarrow can spoil a marriage. If you ride it for too long and touch your wife, she will ask if you are stepping on her or touching her, because your hands are too rough,” the former SONU president said while addressing Vihiga locals during the Azimio la Umoja rally.
Babu further claimed that Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho can easily defeat Ruto in a presidential contest.
“If Joho and Ruto contest, won’t Joho defeat Ruto early enough? What if you give him Baba, isn’t that an accident between a trailer and a Tuktuk and if you leave everyone in this squad and give him Junet, Ruto will be pushed to the ground. What is Ruto telling us,” Babu Owino said.
On his side, Governor Joho said that DP Ruto had offered Vihiga locals nothing for the nine years that he has been in government only for him to come with a wheelbarrow.
“William Ruto has been the deputy president since 2013-2022, then he brings you a wheelbarrow? He should go!” Joho affirmed.
He also expressed his interest in the country’s top seat saying that that is only achievable after Raila Odinga sets the ground.
“My Luhya brothers, I am just like you, in future, I also want to be president, there are also Luhyas who want to be president. The only way is to allow Raila Amollo Odinga to create a levelled playing field for all of us into the future so that we can also have big positions in this country.
“I want you to tell all the Luhya leaders who have gone to the other side, even your MP, to come to Raila Amollo Odinga,” Joho said.
