Museveni’s military beat up Bobi Wine and National Unity Platform supporter, Hamiddu Muyoodi almost killing him.
Uganda police attacked Bobi Wine and his supporters as they planned their end year prayers. Hamiddu Muyoodi was badly injured, photos show blood oozing out of his body.
The musician now top flying politician says, “The criminal regime has deployed heavily at Nsambya Sharing Hall, where we are gathered for end of year prayers! What a cowardly bunch.”
Several of his fans and supporters were brutalized by police. Many others were arrested for associating with the meeting and NUP.
In a post, Bobi Wine informed that world of their predicament via social media saying, “We’re under attack. The military and police have intercepted us on our way from the blocked prayers. They’re arresting comrades. We shall overcome! We shall not give up.”
Bobi Wine says, “This brother was one of our comrades met with unprecedented violence by the military and police today!!! He remains in a critical condition. We must do everything possible to put an end to the Kaguta Museveni repressive regime!”
Ugandans have gone online and with anger, they are asking Museveni to stop killing and maiming the citizens of Uganda. Power is transient they say, one day he will be gone.
Hamiddu Muyoodi is still alive and in hospital. In a latest update seen by SonkoNews, this is his current condition.
“Late last night in hospital, we checked on our brother and comrade Hamiddu Muyoodi who was brutally beaten by regime enforcers. They hit him several times with a baton on the head causing him to bleed. They also hit his abdomen so hard that he started to urinate blood. The criminal regime will have to pay for these crimes against humanity! We pray for his quick recovery and appreciate the doctors who are doing everything to assist him, as well as other comrades who were attacked and assaulted.”
NUP still went on with the end year prayer meeting at Bobi Wine’s home.
