Joe Biden did not only managed to flip Republican controlled states like Arizona into his side, he also flipped Donald Trump’s favorite TV station Fox News.
Fox News was Trump’s mouthpiece for the four years of his presidency. It was reported that Trump watched the station daily for several hours.
Days before Joe Biden crossed the 270 electoral vote threshold, when it was becoming obvious that he would be the next President-elect, Trump instructed Fox News not to refer Biden as ‘President-elect’.
In a memo to its staffers, Fox News told anchors to stay away from using the “President-elect” description, and instead say something like Biden has “enough electoral votes to win the presidency.”

The memo explained that the move not to refer Biden as “President-elect” was informed by Trump’s decision to challenge election results in court. Indirectly implying that the station would only call Biden “President-elect” if court legitimizes his win.
Well, even Fox News got tired spreading Trump’s propaganda. Fox News was the first news network to project that Biden would win the state of Arizona.
This enraged Trump so much because the president was filing suits to discredit Biden’s lead in Republican state that is Arizona, and was counting on the station to be on his side and continue with the misinformation.
A vexed Trump took to Twitter on Thursday 12th to lash out at Fox News promising to ‘destroy’ the station.
Trump said he plans to build a rival to steal Fox viewership, reminding Fox News that they enjoyed high rating because of him.
“@FoxNews daytime ratings have completely collapsed. Weekend daytime even WORSE. Very sad to watch this happen, but they forgot what made them successful, what got them there. They forgot the Golden Goose. The biggest difference between the 2016 Election, and 2020, was @FoxNews,” Trump tweeted.

Trump became increasingly agitated with Fox News in the final months of the campaign, complaining that its polling was skewed against him and repeatedly bemoaning that its coverage was the biggest difference between 2016 and 2020.
Trump also retweeted a dozen different accounts that promoted conservative networks as alternatives to Fox News. Most of those accounts had very few followers and had tweeted only a handful of times.
“Quite right. They’ve been a disaster since the election day. DT has not been given any chance by a clearly corrupt media,” read one tweet that Trump shared.
