The All women have gotten that text. one from that guy. The one we haven’t heard from in ages, but that is conveniently timed within hours of our most recent breakup that hasn’t yet been advertised.
Or the phone will ring, and it will be Mr. Almost-perfect-if-only-he’d-actually-pick-up-the-phone-and-call-once-in-a-while.
He’ll wait until that precise moment that you’ve decided to get over him because you kind of like this new guy you’re seeing, and then he will pick up the phone and call.
How is it that these men know the precise moment to call? In women, we would attribute this talent to the elusive “Sixth Sense.”
But in men, I think it is something much different. In men, this ability to perfectly time that call or text has less to do with knowing when a woman is primed for a relationship and more to somehow knowing exactly the moment when she is most likely to hop in to bed with them. That is why I call this ability in men the “Sexth Sense.”
Is this an innate sense that men are simply born with? Or is it a skill that certain men hone to perfection over time? Is this something that men can develop? Or, is it all simply a coincidence?

Some say it is just coincidental. But I don’t know that it is. What I DO know is that this can mess with a girl’s brain like no other. If she is in the midst of a breakup, it can either make her feel desirable again, or it can remind her of all of the idiots out there that she used to date.
If she is in the throes of a new relationship, it can make her doubt if it is really a good idea to date this guy that she now likes exclusively.
It makes her wonder if maybe, just maybe, this time Mr. Almost-perfect will become Mr. Perfect. Maybe this time he will change.
But in the end, we all find out that these men are just using that “Sexth Sense.” They have not changed one bit.
They just somehow knew the most opportune moment to try to get laid. It is then up to us to grant them the opportunity or simply not answer the phone.
