On Saturday morning Kenya lost an iconic actor and comedian Charles Kubeko alias Papa Shirandula. And the details of his last moment alive seem to be very distressing.
The late family’s spokesman said Bukeko,58 had been unwell for a couple of days before dying of Covid-19 complications at Karen Hospital, Nairobi.
“He was out of Nairobi for work and returned on Sunday. On Monday he started complaining that he was not feeling well, maybe because he was in a colder environment when he was out of Nairobi.
“So went to Karen Hospital where he was diagnosed with pneumonia and was prescribed for some medication for the same and released for home management,” Wanyama told a local daily.
Wamanya said the situation began out of control for days later after the actor failed to show any signs of improvement.
According to Wanyama Bukeko began complaining that the was feeling bad and the plan was to take him to the hospital the following morning.
“By Saturday morning his health had worsened and his wife was forced to rush him to the hospital where he died on arrival even before seeing the doctor,” Wanyama added.
