TBT: Photos of How Footballer Jude Bellingham Built Modern School in Mombasa

Real Madrid Midfielder Jude Bellingham is a star on and off the pitch with his exemplary work impacting youths in Mombasa County.

At the age of 17, Bellingham had already established himself as a philanthropist besides a being football star.

On May 9, 2021, the teenage football sensation who now plays for Real Madrid had already completed constructing Miche Bora Nursery and Primary School.

The school is located Bombolulu area in Mombasa.

“The school in Mombasa is finished and the kids are enjoying being back in lessons and learning. Massive thank you to those who donated and supported, myself and the team really appreciate it,” Bellingham wrote in a social media post.

Besides completing construction works, Bellingham also vowed to collaborate with other partners to ensure students don’t miss classes due to lack of food.

“I am continuing to work with @MSP_rita to try and make sure the children are provided with meals at school through the feeding programme. The link to help and donate is here and in my bio. Thanks again!” he further stated.

Since completion, the school has helped raise and impact knowledge to a number of students in the area.

The area which had fewer schools became a global center of attraction due to Bellingham’s kindness.

The former Borrusia Dortmund star was convinced to support Miche Bora school by Rita Fowler, the founder of the Mustard Seed Project.

“His father, Mark, works with my daughter and she was talking to him about the charity. Mark mentioned it to Jude and he showed no hesitation in wanting to come on board. He’s such a lovely guy and he’s so interested. He’s so kind and caring. I can’t speak highly enough of him,” the retired teacher told The Sun.

Bellingham is now the frontrunner for the European Golden Boy award, and is now well-established as one of the best midfielders in the world.

The England international has enjoyed a blistering start to his Los Blancos career, already being hailed as a Galactico.

Bellingham hit the ground running in La Liga with an incredible five goals in his first four games with Los Blancos and the dynamic midfielder marked his Champions League debut with a late winner in the 1-0 victory against Union Berlin.

He joined Birmingham City as an under-8, became the club’s youngest ever first-team player when he made his senior debut in August 2019, at the age of 16 years, 38 days, and played regularly during the 2019–20 season.

Later, Bellingham joined Borussia Dortmund in July 2020.
