Susan Nakuhumicha Wafula will be succeeding Mutahi Kagwe as the Health CS if the parliament approves her appointment.
She is among the newcomers that hope to join the national government, which seeks to deliver the mandate and promises they made to Kenyans during campaigns.
Very little is however known of Nakhumicha as she has not been in the limelight until when President William Ruto appointed her to the Health Ministry.

Education Background
Nakhumicha holds a diploma in Pharmacy from KMTC. Her second Diploma is in Healthcare Management from Kenya Institute of Management.
She joined JKUAT in 2012 for a Masters in Procurement and Logistics and Supply Chain Management and she is currently pursuing a PhD in Business Management, Logistics and Supply Chain at the same institution
Career
Nakhumicha’s career is mainly centered on the health sector in Non-governmental Organizations as well as cooperates and is an expert in procurement and supply chain.
Places she has worked include; AAR hospital in Kisumu as the head of pharmacy, UCSF global programs as the head of supply chain, Nairobi Womens hospital in the procurement and logistics department and between 2007-2013, she served as the purchase manager for Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies.
Politics
In the 2022 general election she vied for the Trans Nzoia Women Rep seat on a Ford Kenya ticket but was trounced by a UDA candidate. She came third with 32,497 votes.
