Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has spoken of the thorny Kiambaa church issue following the 2007/08 post-election violence and the surrender of Lawyer Paul Gicheru.
Sudi in a passionate appeal asked political leaders across the country against inciting Rift Valley residents ahead of the 2022 General Election.
In his appeal via video on his Facebook page Thursday November 12, Sudi said that no Kenyan should shed blood because of political competition.
“There will never be fights in this country ever again, especially between Kikuyus and Kalenjins. Some people are trying to remind us about 2007/8 skirmishes but we will never go back there ever again,” he said.

Sudi maintained that the Kiambaa church tragedy remains a thorny and touchy subject that could eroded the gains made by affected families.
“Kiambaa church is in my constituency. I often visit the area for development purposes. We cannot allow the likes of Nancy Gitau and her team to gang up and plan to take Deputy President William Ruto back to The Hague…Why don’t they bring their candidate to square it with him at the ballot box?” he posed.
Ruto has often been linked to the burning of the church in during PEV. One of the witnesses in the case has implicated him but went on to recant his testimony citing “corruptly being influenced” by lawyer Paul Gicheru.
Gicheru has since surrendered to the ICC after five years of an active warrant of arrest.
