Strange Things You Did Not Notice In Raila’s Birthday Cake And Their Symbols

Date:

As former prime minister Raila Odinga is celebrating his 77th birthday, there is something unique you may not have noticed about his huge birthday cake.

Raila Odinga who celebrated his birthday at the Bomas of Kenya had his birthday cake representing the presidential reigns of past presidents.

The base of the cake  was written “Happy 77th birthday baba the 5th #BABACARES.” Then the second layer of the cake was christened “1968-1978” representing the reign of the late first president Jomo Kenyatta.

The third layer was written: “1978-2002” symbolizing the 24 years that the late Daniel Torotich Arap Moi was in power.

The fourth layer read: “2002-2013” which marked the leadership of the third head of state Mwai Kibaki.

The fifth layer was christened: “2013-2022” representing the Uhuruto Jubilee government under the New constitution.

Finally, the last layer read : “2022 and beyond,” to represent Raila Odinga’s reign if he take over power from the incumbent president Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta.

Some people even went to the extent of relating Raila’s presidency with major Biblical events.

For instance, this person wrote: “Baba started fighting for political reforms in 1982: 40 Years this year. in the Bible, 40 signifies bondage & suffering & after it, Freedom & Canaan:Baba is turning 7 7: 7 is God’s number for perfection & completion 2022 is Baba’s Ordained Year.”

In the meantime, the cake cutting to mark Raila’s 77th birthday is being conducted in a number of counties across the country such as Kisii, Homabay and the Tharaka Nithi.

Earlier today, residents of Homabay county took to the street in a bid to celebrate the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader’s birthday.

At the same time, Deputy President William Ruto led politicians from different political divides in wishing Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga a happy birthday as he turned 77.

In a statement shared on Ruto’s official Twitter account, the DP said, “happy birthday Jakom. May you be blessed with many more. Raila Odinga”

Joining Ruto in sending messages of goodwill, former Machakos Senator and UDA Chairman Johnson Muthama wished Raila good health on his special day.

“Happy Birthday Jakom. The Hustler Nation wishes you good health as you celebrate your special day,” Muthama tweeted.

Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho also wished Raila a happy birthday, referring to him as a global leader.

“As you start a new chapter in life let the annals of history record you not only as a global leader and a hero but also as a father of this nation. Happy birthday Baba,” Joho said

Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana also took to his social media platforms to wish the former premier a happy birthday.

“Happy birthday Raila Odinga. May God grant you many more years for service to your country and continent,” he tweeted.

While in Bomas of Kenya during the cake cutting, the opposition leader seized the opportunity to sell his Azimio La Umoja movement as he recalled how Kenyan patriots have had to shed blood to realize positive changes such as the repealing of section 2A and ushering in the 2010 constitution.

Raila further vowed to deal with graft should he take over the leadership of the country.
