Speaker Justin Muturi Explains Why He Is Neither Supporting Raila Nor DP Ruto For Presidency

Date:

Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi has revealed that he is not going to vie for presidency as an independent candidate.

Muturi said that he will contest for the position in a coalition because that way Kenyans are united.

“Coalition is the way to go because it brings Kenyans together for a common purpose and vision,” Muturi said during the Chart with JB Muturi session.

He however is not for Azimio la umoja saying that, “AZIMIO LA UMOJA is just a NASA reincarnation with nothing new to offer,”

Answering a question on why he is not supporting either Raila or Ruto for the presidential  position since he has no political power, Muturi said, “The person you support is a direct reflection of your principles and morals and it’s NOT just about winning or even ethnic support. I want to build a Government for all.

Once he ascends to power, he says that his first job will be dealing with corruption.

“As President, my first job is to prevent corruption from happening by activating and empowering 80% of Kenyans who are not corrupt by making it harder for the corrupt to hide. We must have a conversation on how long corruption cases take in the Judiciary,” Muturi said.
