Nyali MP Mohammed Ali has given president Uhuru Kenyatta conditions that he should meet before the coastal people can listen to him.
A seemingly agitated Ali who was speaking in Tononoka grounds, Mombasa during the Kenya Kwanza campaigns demanded that the head of state reveal those responsible for grabbing land belonging to the Mau Mau children.
“I have heard the president of the Republic of Kenya saying that he will go and talk to the people of Mt. Kenya. I want to tell him that we have agreed that he speaks to the people of the mountain but first tell them who grabbed land belonging to the Mau Mau children before coming here,” Ali said.
He went ahead to raise questions that President Kenyatta should give answers to the coastal people.
“Tell us why you Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta took the coastal port and took it to Naivasha. If he answers that we will listen to him,” Ali said.
The lawmaker further wants President Kenyatta to explain why he took SGR to the coast. According to him, the SGR ends at president Kenyatta’s farm in Naivasha.
“Question number 2, we want to is ask is why he brought here the Standard Gauge Railway instead of making the economy better and killed the coastal people,” he said
Finally, Ali raised the issue of the numerous dead bodies being recovered from water bodies in the country while accusing the government of extra-judicial killing.
“Why is your government killing our children? Why is your government finishing our youth? Where did we wrong you that you are killing our children and their bodies thrown in rivers and lakes.
Ali further revisited the remarks that President Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga made against each other in past campaigns while in Mombasa yet they are now working together.
“It is time to tell the truth. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, you came here in Mombasa and told us that Raila Odinga is a witchdoctor. Raila came here and told us that Uhuru is a drunkard. Today the witchdoctor and the drunkard are sleeping on the same bed,” the MP said
He also accused Raila and Siaya senator James Orengo of grabbing several acres of land in the coast instead of fulfilling his promises of ensuring that the coastal people get their lands.
“You said that once you get to power we will get our lands. When you became the prime minister and Orengo the minister of lands, you had power in the shared government, instead of helping the Coastal people to get back their lands you and Orengo got yourselves 5000 acres in South Coast and North Coast,” Ali claimed.
Following his remarks. Ali took to twitter and said, “Nothing but the truth so help me God.”
