Locals of Konate area in Nyamira Town are still in shock following an incident whereby human body parts were dumped on the road by unknown people.
Nyamira Sub County police commander Moses Kirong said that the body parts were stashed in red and black sacks which were thrown at the Kisii-Nyamira-Ikonge junction at 10pm Tuesday night by a speeding vehicle.
Kirong said that the head of the victim whose body had been cut to pieces was missing while promising to probe into the matter.
“The victim’s head was missing,” Kirong said.
According to the Nyamira County Commissioner Amos Mariba, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have taken up the matter and are hoping that eye witnesses will help them in their mission to track down the suspects.
“The killers of this man would be known fairly soon,” said Mariba.
The body parts were taken to the Nyamira County Referral Hospital morgue.
Aside from that, police in Nairobi are looking for a man who allegedly killed his wife in Mukuru area following a disagreement that ensued between them.
The couple are said to have quarreled for some time before the suspect shot his wife six times with a pistol.
The suspect then escaped from the scene of crime to a an unknown destination. The body of the deceased was taken to the morgue as police proceed with investigations that will lead to the arrest of the suspect
