“The Secretary-General in the next less than 30 days must vacate the office. We will use the law and other extra-legal means to ensure he vacates the office because Jubilee is given tax money,” revealed Cherargei.

The Senator went on to lament about taxpayers’ money and the members’ monthly subscription fee being squandered by the party.

“I know now, they have planned to start disrupting the party, Jubilee Party has been receiving money. They have never called us to a National Delegates conference or Parliamentary National Executive Council to tell us what they have used our money for.

“We as Parliamentarians pay Ksh10,000 every month to sustain the operations of the party. But it is sad the subscription that we were paying is the same subscription of taxpayers money that they sat to eject our leaders in the Senate,” noted Cherargei.

The Chair of the Senate Legal Affairs Committee added that he was aware of the planned changes in the National Assembly leadership as had happened at the Senate.

The Senator noted that no amount of frustration would make them relent even if Deputy President William Ruto was ejected from office.

A section of Jubilee Party MPs has been plotting to eject Tuju from his position after effecting changes in the party leadership.

Jubilee has been in wrangles with the divide being between leaders allied to Deputy President William Ruto and those loyal to President Uhuru Kenyatta widening.

Cherargei also noted that the new leaders of the Senate should not be happy with their new positions arguing they were appointed unprocedurally.

Former Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen and former Majority Whip Susan Kihika were ejected from their positions on Monday, May 11.
