Sources have revealed to Sonko News that there was a significant reduction in the number of customers streaming into the Weston hotel amidst the demolition rumors.
According to this source, customers who wanted to go and spend time at the Weston Hotel resorted to other hotels for the fear of the unknown which would befall them in the night.
As a result, the DP Ruto who is the owner of this hotel is believed to have lost a significant amount of millions between yesterday and today.
“I have three of my friends from Rwanda who were supposed to go spend a night at the facility but they changed their minds at the last minute given the rumors that the hotel was to go down anytime. As a result, they resorted to the Hilton Hotel which is based in town.” Said the source which spoke to Sonko News.
Another local tourist said this to Sonko News: “Weston Hotel has been my favorite facility whenever I come to Nairobi. I am supposed to be in Nairobi for one week and i planned to book this prestigious facility but as things stand by, it will be a gamble and a risk to even think of booking it because no one wants to be caught in between government affairs. I think I will have to look for an alternative just for the sake of peace of mind.”
As a result of the low sales, Weston Hotel management had to come out to dismiss demolition rumors and assured customers that operations are running smoothly without any interruptions.
“Following numerous comments and inquiries from concerned stakeholders, friends and customers, we would like to clarify and assure our esteemed guests and the general public that the hotel operations are running smoothly without any interruption. Any contrary information should be disregarded.
“We would like to welcome our clients to continue supporting us and wish all of you a Happy Customer Service week. Please note that any official communication will come from our official channels ie on Social Media.”
