Ruto Changes Tune , Ready To Work With Raila (Video)

Date:

Deputy President William Ruto has welcomed Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga to his hustler movement after he posted a video of the former Prime Minister explaining the journey of hustlers.

In the video, the ODM leader was speaking in Kisumu on Thursday, October 22, where he told the residents about the life of businessman Hilton who founded the famous Hilton Hotels.

Raila Odinga told them that the businessman started as a street shoe salesman, then cleaning floors before he became a renowned businessman.

“I want to give you another story. Most of our young people work in the hot sun like bodaboda. That is a job that provides a lot of livelihoods, but that is just the beginning. Know where you are going, the sun is just the beginning, know where you are going.”

“I want you to look at a man named Hilton who owns a Hilton restaurant who started as a shoemaker. He swept and from there he went to a kiosk selling tea and desserts. The kiosk gave birth to another and later sold and built hotels. Those hotels are now international. Now some of you bodaboda people can be like Mr. Hilton,” said Raila.

DP Ruto seemed impressed by Raila Odinga’s story and went on to post the video stating that finally, the hustler gospel has been hitting the right notes.

He noted that it was time the touts, wheelbarrow people, cart, mama mbogas, and boda boda attendants are involved in the hustler debate.

“With all the help they can have, they can be like Hilton, who started out as a shoemaker and later became the owner of restaurants. Welcome to Tinga for the hustler movement. Mahustler Tibim Raila Odinga,” DP Ruto wrote after posting a video of the ODM leader.

Ruto has been spearheading the hustler movement across the country something that has brought him criticism and praise in equal measure.
