Russia Introduces Hi-Fly Unmanned Taxi in Kenya

Russian Embassy in Kenya has announced the launch of Hi-Fly unmanned Taxi in Kenya.

The flying taxis will be tested in Kenya in partnership with local firms.

The Russian Embassy revealed that testing of the flying taxis would begin soon in select areas before mass rollout.

“Russian Biryuch innovation center (part of Efko) together with the local partners begins testing of the Hi-Fly unmanned Taxi in Kenya! The first flights will be operated en route Nairobi (Wilson) – Diani (Ukunda). Don’t miss such an opportunity! More information to follow!”

The Embassy did not immediately publish the cost of the flying taxis and who would be the target customer during the piloting phase.

The mode of transport is used in other developed countries to reduce commuting time. Kenya Airways had earlier announced plans to introduce flying taxis but its is not clear how the plans is progressing.
