Over the weekend, popular American RnB singer and actor Shaffer Chimere Smith alias Ne-yo was exposed by his wife Crystal Renay for being a serial cheater just three months after the couple renewed heir marriage vows.
In a statement she shared on her Instagram account, Crystal revealed that Ne-yo has been cheating on her for the last 8 years without even considering ‘safety measures’ while on his escapades with a series of women.
“8 years of lies and deception. 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous women who sell their bodies to him unprotected…every last one of them! To say I am heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement,” she opened up.
According to her, the only thing she gained from the period that she was married to the 42-year old singer was the three children they were blessed with but the rest was pure heartache and wastage of time. She however decided that she was not looking back again.
“To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcist. I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is something that isn’t. I choose me, I choose my happiness and my health and my respect. I gained 3 beautiful children out of this but nothing else but wasted years and heart ache,” Crystal said.
She further called upon her followers and fans to cease sending her information about Ne-yo’s crooked behavior because whatever he does is no longer her concern.
“I am not a victim, I am choosing to stand tall with my head held high. If someone can’t love you the way you deserve then it is up to you to love yourself. With no hate in my heart, I wish him nothing but the best,” Crystal concluded.
On the other hand, Ne-yo went ahead to like his wife’s post and responded to it via Twitter saying that they would work through their challenges privately
“For the sake of our children, my family and I will work through our challenges behind closed doors. Personal matters are not meant to be addressed and dissected in public forums. I simply ask that you please respect me and my family’s privacy at this time,” he wrote.
