Gospel singer Ringtone has been forced to address Reverend Lucy Natasha’s recent trends of dancing to secular music.
In a short clip he shared on his Instagram account, the self proclaimed chairman of gospel music urged Natasha to continue promoting secular music while naming a few songs that she should add on her playlist.
“Pastor Reverend Lucy Natasha, today I want to enlighten you as a brother. The other day you posted Harmonize’s nice music as you danced with your husband. Now I want you to add Toa Kutu on your playlist. There is also another good song called Lamba lolo.
“Alternatively you can also add the song sung by a Tanzanian I don’t know his name, he says Weka mate nitelezeleze kama nyoka pangoni. So I salute you on your job of promoting secular music,” Ringtone said.

In a separate interview with Eve Mungai, the artist demanded that Natasha apologize to gospel artists over her trend.
“Rev Natasha should apologize to gospel musicians in Kenya and to the Christian fraternity. How does a woman of God dance to a secular song? I am not saying Otile Brown is a devil but in matters of salvation we are on different paths, what is she teaching the young people?” Ringtone posed.

He went on to say that Natasha’s trend means that she has endorsed secular artists like Willy Paul, Bahati and Mr. Seed while insisting that it would not have cost her anything to share a song by Gloria Muliro or even him.
“I am shocked and I feel bad. If she does not apologize, we will blacklist her. She never posts Kenyan artists, it’s not like she has posted Kenyan artistes wakaisha. I am very disappointed that a gospel song can get 1 month to get 1 million views while a secular song gets millions of views in a week,” Ringtone lamented.
