Raila’s Aide Frowns Over Ruto’s ‘Soda and Kangumu’ Donation To Bungoma Residents

Date:

Raila’s aide and ODM Director of Communication, Philip Etale, has expressed his disappointment on The Deputy President William Ruto for only treating Bungoma residents to refreshments.

According to Etale, Ruto has really belittled the luhya nation. Etale has argued that Ruto is always giving donations in terms of Tuk tuks, wheelbarrows and motorbikes to Kiambu residents but when he tours the western region he only gives food donation.

“Waluhya tunadharauliwa sana. Kiambu, Ruto anapeana tuk tuk, mikokoteni and wheelbarrows, sisi kama jamii anatupea soda na ngumuu… isorait,” Etale wrote on twitter.

Ruto treated his supporters to refreshments at a shopping centre in Bumula, Bungoma county, after attending a church service.

Ruto attended an interdenominational prayer service with faithful from Pentecostal churches in Bumula Constituency. The service, convened at Bumula DDC’s Grounds, was led by Bishop Godfrey Shiundu of the Reformed Catholic Church.

After the solemn church service, the DP who was accompanied by a host of area MPs addressed roadside gatherings where he continued to spread the hustler nation ‘gospel’.

To prove that he was a real hustler, Ruto did not indulge in high-end eateries or classy hotels synonymous with people of his status.

The hustler, as he brands himself, decided to quench his thirst with a coke, directly from the crate at Mama Mary’s Ebenezer shop which is next to Shiba Hotel.

He was flanked by hundreds of supporters who for the first time, as many would say, tasted the DP’s soda.
