Thousands of people have ignored a curfew imposed in Minneapolis to protest for the fourth night in a row, as citizens protest police brutality and the death of George Floyd erupt into violence across the country.

In Atlanta, people set a police car ablaze and broke windows at CNN’s headquarters, an attack that prompted Georgia’s governor to declare a state of emergency.
In an apparent attack against the protesters, an unidentified assailant in Detroit fired shots from an SUV into a crowd of demonstrators, killing a 19-year-old man.
In a move to calm the demonstrators, the police released a video of Derek Chauvin, the Minneapolis officer captured on camera kneeling on Floyd being charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter.
However, the three other officers involved in Floyd’s arrest are yet to be charged, and the video did little to calm the demonstrators.
In the capital, a brief White House lockdown was imposed as protesters tussled with the Secret Service into the wee hours of the morning.
Demonstrators in Oakland, San Jose, and Los Angeles blocked highways prompting police officers to fire teargas. While in Louisville, Kentucky police aimed and fired projectiles at journalists during a live shot though the authorities later apologized for the incident.
