Presidential Hopeful Abduba Dida Turns Into Raila Supporter After The Siege Of Eldoret

Date:

ODM leader Raila Odinga on Friday brought Eldoret town to a standstill, making presidential hopeful Abduba Dida admit his way to State House is unstoppable.

Raila’s visit to Eldoret was part of his Azimio la Umoja push that seeks to unite Kenyans from all walks of life, ahead of the 2022 general elections.

The former Prime Minister kicked off the visit by meeting ODM delegates from the counties of Uasin Gishu and Nandi before he went to address town residents.

During the meeting, the ODM leader was crowned a Nandi elder and given the greenlight to seek the presidency.

Raila then took to the streets of Eldoret to campaign, drawing mammoth crowds in a region perceived to be Deputy President William Ruto’s stronghold.

The sea of people seen at Raila’s rally in Eldoret set tongues wagging has people ponder how the ODM leader attracted the huge crowd in his rival’s background.

Presidential hopeful Abduba Dida termed Raila’s tour as ‘The Siege Of Eldoret’ and likened it to 1945 Russia invasion of Berlin that brought an end to World War 2 in Europe.

Dida also asserted that just like the siege of Berlin, Raila’s siege of Eldoret has created certainty about his 2022 presidential quest.

“In 1945, USSR carried out The Siege of Berlin, a strategic offensive that drove the last nail into the coffin of the Germans campaign. #TheSiegeOfEldoret is reminiscent of that. Every other offensive created a cloud of ‘cloud’. This specific offensive has created certainty,” Abduba Dida tweeted.
