Photos: Amazing Transformation Of ‘Jina Hutaki’ Sensation Leonard Omusula

Date:

Leonard Omusula from Butere Mumias is known for asking a reporter ‘jina hutaki?’ after a successful interview.

The interview was done a few years ago by K24, where he defended his alcohol addiction.

The video went viral a few months ago, with Kenyans turning it into memes and in July this year it later emerged that Omusula was homeless and begging in the streets of Nairobi to make ends meet.

His trouble began after he was sacked by a company where he was working as a technician.

“I’m a technician the way you see me like this. Someone help me to get a job, because sleeping in the streets, and living in the streets, that is not part of my life,” Omusula opened up in an interview.

His plea touched the heart of his area MP Tindi Mwale and he came to his rescue. Mwale welcomed him to his home and offered him a job as his messenger in parliament.

Nearly three months later, the MP has shared photos of Omusula, showcasing the transformation that he has since undergone.

He also revealed that Omusula is currently undergoing rehabilitation.

“#happyhudumadaybrethren from Jina hautaki legend and your Truly. Leonard Omusula, the “jina hautaki” legend is recovering well at the Blessed Talbot recovery and medics Center. Leonard Omusula was a street dweller whose recording went viral requesting for Help:3months ago,i reached out to him and Offered him to be our Butere Office Messenger @Parliament,” the lawmaker shared.
