Peugeot E-3008: Features of Sleek Electric Fastback SUV

Date:

French carmaker Peugeot ventured into the electric auto sector with a brand-new Sport Utility Vehicle rivaling Tesla as the market lead.

The automaker launched the Peugeot E-3008 taking to a whole new level the creativity of its design and the driving pleasure.

The car’s electric performance was envisioned to offer its users the allure of a fastback SUV with a reinvented and efficient design.

According to the designers of the new car, it was properly crafted to best-in-class performance for the most important criteria for customers: range (up to 700km), recharge time (30 minutes), driving pleasure, performance, efficiency and connected services and functions (Trip Planner, Smart charging, Vehicle to load and Over The Air updates).

“The launch of the Next-Level E-3008 is a major step in Peugeot’s radical transformation into an alluring 100 per cent electric brand that sets new benchmarks for design, driving pleasure, and efficiency.

With its exterior design, spectacular Peugeot Panoramic i-Cockpit®, driving pleasure and unprecedented electric performance, the Next-Level E-3008 ushers Peugeot into a new era as the French brand offering the widest range of mainstream electric vehicles on the market,” the company CEO stated during the launch.

At launch, there will be three choices of drivetrain for the E-3008. There’s a front-wheel drive version with a 210kW (210bhp) motor and 73kWh (net) battery, a Dual Motor all-wheel-drive version with the same battery but 240kW (320bhp), and another front-wheel-drive Long Range version with a 170kW (230bhp) motor and a 98kWh (net) battery.

They will be produced exclusively at the Sochaux plant in France and will be on sale from February 2024.

Outstanding Designs

The interior is comfortable and there is a decent amount of cargo space.

Peugeot also introduced the Panoramic i-Cockpit which is a significant step forward especially in the car’s infotainment.

The designers also introduced a larger battery to help the car cover a huge distance when fully charged.

It is however not clear how much the Peugeot E-3008 will cost.
