Pastor Kanyari Breaks Silence Days After Being Accused Of Colluding With Omosh On A ‘Forged’ Deliverance

Controversial Pastor Victor Kanyari has broken his silence days after he was captured performing deliverance on actor Joseph Kinuthia, who goes by the name Omosh.

The video of the deliverance went viral thus sparking mixed reactions among Kenyans with some suggesting that they had scripted the occurrence.

Speaking in a YouTube interview, Kanyari  however said that before the fateful day, he had never met Omosh in person and was seeing him for the first time at his church.

Kanyari said that he only noticed Omosh’s presence when he called upon his congregants to go to the altar for prayers.

“I had never met Omosh in person but when the sermon was going on I could not see him. I noticed that I usually see this person on TV  when I asked people to come to the altar for prayers,” the preacher said.

He went on to prophesy to him according to how the holy spirit was leading him.

“Then I put my hands on him to pray for him, that is my style of prayer and he fell down. I gave him some shopping and a very little amount of money, Kshs7000, because I know this person and he makes me laugh,” Kanyari narrated.

The preacher however wondered why people would think that they had planned with Omosh since it was of no benefit to do so.

“I was surprised to see people saying that Omosh and Kanyari are both comedians but he is a comedian and I like his comedies and the way he [acts]. I was happy that he came to my church for the first time. I thank God I prayed for the man,” Kanyari said.

Answering the question on what is the secret behind people falling when he puts his hands on them Kanyari said, “Not all the people that I pray for fall down. It depends on the holy spirit. If it touches someone  he/she will fall. Deliverance can also take place when someone has not fallen, it is not a must someone falls, I was also shocked that he [Omosh] fell but it was not a big deal to me people say I showed him where he will fell with my hands, what would I benefit with by paying him, big people coming here are so many,” Kanyari said. 

Kanyari also noted that the video was recorded without authorization as he does not allow people with cameras in his church unless it is his media team from Shifu TV and Prophetic TV.
