There are reports that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission chairman Wafula Chebukati has called the Kenya Kwanza candidate William Samoei Ruto and the Azimio candidate Raila Odinga.
According to insiders who spoke to Sonko News, the IEBC chairman ought to place a call to both the winning candidate and the losing candidate 30 minutes before the official commencement of the declaration at 3PM.
At the same time, its alleged that the IEBC Chairman called the incumbent president Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta to inform him of the winner so that he makes the necessary preparations.
However before calling the winner or the loser, Wafula Chebukati is said to have met with the chief agents of the two presidential candidates to update them on the final results tallied.
The IEBC chairman is expected to announce the winner of the hotly contested presidential race at Bomas in full glare of cameras with all kinds of guests attending both locally and internationally.
