Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed and Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja engaged in a heated argument on Twitter.
The trouble was sparked by Sakaja’s comment, praising ODM leader Raila Odinga while saying he has played a significant role in Kenya.
The senator made the comments during an interview with Radio Citizen on Wednesday May 11, 2022.
“Raila Amollo Odinga is like a father to me. Of all the leaders, Raila is the only one who has come to my home for my son’s birthday. His role in Kenya’s history can not be erased. I respect him,” Sakaja said.
Junet however used the opportunity to bash Sakaja telling him point blank that he will not be voted in as the governor for Nairobi, but his opponent, Polycarp Igathe who has been fronted by Azimio La Umoja-OKA will win the August 9 elections.
“That’s nice . Raila deserves respect but Azimio and Raila supporters will vote for Polycap Igathe on 9th August 2022,” Junet said.
Sakaja could, however, not let the comment pass. Instead he told off Junet saying that Nairobi people are not like cows and they will choose the suitable candidate to run the county government.
“They are not all cows bro. The people of Nairobi have the ability to make their own decisions as they have done in the past. Panga Migori,” the gubernatorial aspirant wrote.
Junet was however not going to let Sakaja ride on Baba’s name yet he was supporting a different presidential candidate and had to make his point clear.
“Ndugu I know they are not all cows but as Azimio we want to resist the politics of conman ship of running on UDA ticket and at the same time want to ride on Baba’s name. Lanes,” Junet said.
