Omar Lali has been freed by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution.
The Director of Public Prosecution, Noordin Haji made an application to terminate his case and in lieu made a request to an open inquest.
Omar Lali who was arraigned in Garsen High Court where he was scheduled for plea taking is one happy man after he was released and all murder charges laid against him dropped completely.
Omar Lali was the boyfriend of the late Tecra Muigai who was the Keroche Breweries heiress.
This comes after Omar was charged with murder at Lamu Law Courts on Monday where the Principal Magistrate Allan Temba made the ruling via a video link.
According to lead prosecutor Eddie Kadebe and Zakaria Kiongo, there was enough and sufficient evidence to take Mr. Omar Lali for plea taking.
