Kiharu member of parliament Ndindi Nyoro on Wednesday night awarded deputy president William Samoei Ruto most of the successes of the Jubilee regime but absolved him from its failures.
While speaking to Jeff Koinange Live (JKL) at Citizen Tv, Ndindi Nyoro claimed that William Ruto has a track record for the nine years he was in government.
Asked about the excess borrowings by Jubilee since 2013, the Kiharu Member of parliament selectively blamed president Uhuru Kenyatta without dragging his UDA boss into the negative side of the regime.
At the same time, Ndindi Nyoro who claimed that they want a government where none is left behind(marginalization) also took a swipe at the president for reaching out to the opposition leaders and including them in the leadership of the country.
“Jeff, you know, sometimes it’s good to talk like a person who lives in Kenya. I am sure you don’t come from the moon to host JKL. You live here in Kenya and you know that the government that we elected is not the government ruling our country.
“It is the issue of inclusion we are talking about that we want to build a country where everyone is included Jeff where no one is left out so that we continue running away from diabolic sentiments.”
The legislator also took time to articulate the bottom up economic model where he emphasized that everyone ought to be brought on board so that they participate in matters of the economy.
According to him, this would be best achieved by empowering the informal sector since they are the majority in the country.
However, some Kenyans were quick to dismiss Ndindi Nyoro over the so-called bottom up economic model. This is what these Kenyans had to say:
“So what have you been up to the last ten years in government?…..Kenyans do not need bottom up shenanigans…Kenyans want equal job opportunities regardless of technical know who, kenyans need respect to the constitution and the adherence to the rule of law, Kenyans need access to healthcare and it’s availability , Kenyans need seriousness in discharging government duties just to mention a few…Not this bottom- up model with no scientific back up and it’s propagation of which you find difficult to explain….the economy is hurting and Kenyans need relief….Which cannot be offered by the sake of saying bottom-up.”
“Bottom up is a strategy to confuse Kenyans. I think there is nothing much Kenyans can expect from the model. With all the failed promises. Hehee. Ruto, Rigadhi Gachagua, Waiguru, Jumwa,Jicho pevu, Obado, Waiguru, Sudi, Nanok, Waititu, and the list follows. And we are busy celebrating that the next 5 years is safe. Acha tu nipigie baba ata kama atabaki.”
“The cliche ‘Bottom Up’ is hard to explain even by its proponents. Surely, what is he saying that’s new? It’s just a baptismal name for the unfulfilled promises. The monkeys are the same with same chattering only that they decide to rename the forest.”
“Nothing like bottom up. What are the policies to empower those hustlers but not empty slogans, bottom up! He planned his ways earlier in 2017 by messing up those he believed were a threat like Kabogo, kabando wa kabando, kinuthia Mbugua. Now he is seeking public sympathy. Ruto winning 2022 will be the most suicidal act by Kenyans! Looters are regrouping behind him.”
