Ndichu Brothers Ready For A Bruising Court Battle With Murgor Sisters

Date:

Twin brothers Eddie and Paul Ndichu are oozing with confidence as they gear up for a court battle with sisters Cheryl and Stephanie Murgor.

The twin brothers are accused of assaulting the sisters at the Emara Ole Sereni Hotel in Nairobi on October 17th. They’re also accused of vandalizing a car during the incident.

Ndichus through their defense team rubbished claims that they mooted the idea of an out-of-court settlement to Cheryl and Stephanie Murgor over the assault claims.

Eddie and Paul are confident they will be vindicated through a court process and as such have insisted that they would like the matter to proceed to court.

Ndichus’ lawyer Edwin Sifuna noted that his clients are not going to settle and they welcome the idea of the matter proceeding to court.

He further called for the Murgor sisters Stephanie, 24, and Cheryl Murgor, 22, to be charged with assault, for causing bodily harm to another woman Munira during the incident.

“We are prepared to go to court. There is nothing to negotiate over. I mean these are the same ladies who are saying that what happened was violence against women, yet they were seen assaulting a woman, that is why they are also being arrested and charged for beating a woman,” Ndichus’ lawyer Edwin Sifuna was quoted by Nation.

Sifuna also reiterated that his clients never made an offer to settle their assault case with the sisters out of court.

“I am the lawyer for the Ndichu brothers. Where have you seen me drafting, or even writing a letter calling for a settlement out-of-court? If they can show you any letter from me, then let them show you. There is no single day that we have sought to settle this matter out-of-court. We are ready to face them in court,” Sifuna said.

He added that;

“If they want to settle anything, then let them come and seek me out. What you are actually seeing is a provocation by these people to extort money. But all we are saying is that we are ready to proceed with the matter as soon as the DPP is ready.”

On November 19, Amadi Associates Advocates wrote to Lawyer Phillip Murgor who represents the two sisters requesting to solve the matter amicably.

Lawyer Njenga Kiarie asked the sisters to consider solving the matter out of court saying the incident at the hotel was a misunderstanding.

He added that the brothers were ready to repair their damaged car at a garage of their preference, or in the alternative, reimburse them the full cost if the car had already been repaired.
