Mwingi Accident: Earlier Video Shows Victims Dancing Near The Scene

Date:

An earlier video in possession of Sonko News has shown the victims of the Mwingi Accident dancing and having good times near the scene.

According to the video, the faithfuls from the Mwingi Catholic Church Choir were at the scene waiting to board the bus christened St. Joseph’s Seminar Mwingi.

Little did the late souls know that they were dancing for the last time before the driver from hell intentionally drove the bus in a risky place and plunged it into the river.

The death of the church members from Mwingi in Kitui county has left many Kenyans heartbroken with many sending their condolences as below:

“This afternoon tragedy has struck Kitui County. A bus carrying Catholic faithfuls was swept away while attempting to cross a swollen river Enziu in Nguni, Mwingi. Rescue efforts are ongoing. So far there are 17 survivors and regrettably 21 bodies have been recovered. We are at the scene of the accident together with Kenya Redcross personnel and law enforcement agencies doing everything possible to search and rescue as well as recovery. We pray for God’s strength and compassion to comfort the affected families and friends.” Wrote Kitui county governor Charity Ngilu.

“Our thoughts are with the families, their loved ones and friends of those who have perished in the tragic accident in Mwingi, Kitui County. Sending our prayers and speedy recovery to the survivors.” Wrote Deputy president William Samoei Ruto.

“My prayers and condolences go to the families of those we lost this afternoon when a bus carrying the Mwingi Catholic Church Choir plunged into River Enziu. May God grant the affected fortitude, and may the souls of the departed Rest In Eternal Peace.”Wrote ODM Leader Raila Odinga.

Following the Mwingi accident, Kenyans were so annoyed with the driver of the bus that they had the following to say:

“Reckless and arrogant plus ignorant driver’s which are preferred the most experienced drivers in kenya believed to be more careful, are the ones doing this carelessness !!?? as far as I’m concerned no young man will be allowed to drive a school bus and when the freshers come to ask for an opportunity u chase them saying they have no experience.now see the ones you trust to call experienced.”

“I blame these people standing and seeing the vehicle submerges in a river without doing anything ..the reaction was poor…hapo unatafuta mbao unaswim unavunja madirisha zote the first thing to allow people on board to find space to escape …the water was not that deep…anyway as a Kenyan I fe l bad and I pity our people who can’t get good services despite paying taxes .our leaders shame on you!!! If these roads can still exists in this country at 21st century…then we are not worth being graded 6th best economically advanced country in Africa.”

“I wonder why people are blaming the driver alone.. he/she may be put to pressure by passengers. Blame them all for allowing it to happen.”

“Punitive action should be taken to other one Mitsubishi FH, attempted suicide n murder. He was also driving to cross.?”

So sad indeed..no motorist should ever underestimate the power of raging water, however big the vehicle is… condolences to the affected families.
