Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi has given DP Ruto a condition he must meet for him to support him.
The Nasa co-principal has said he ready to work with the embattled Deputy President on condition he endorses him for the presidency.
Speaking in Lugari, Kakamega County on Sunday, July 13th Mudavdi said he is not going to settle for anything less of the Presidency.
“I am at liberty to work with anyone who has the same aspirations as ours, including the deputy president and other leaders. We are tired of being told that we are working for William Ruto. Let me say that we welcome Dr. Ruto as long as he supports our bid for the presidency,” said Mudavadi.
Mudavdi lashed out at some leaders who claimed were out to create a rift between him and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
According to Mudavadi, some leaders have been using the police to disrupt meetings organized by those allied to him in Western but when the same leaders are put to task, “they are quick to invoke the name of President Kenyatta”.
The ANC boss denied claims made by other politicians that his meeting is meant to undermine the president.
Lugari Member of Parliament and his Lurambi counterpart Titus Khamala said they were in full support of President Uhuru’s development agenda.

“We ask the president to stop listening to the propaganda being perpetrated by Mudavadi’s critics,” urged Khamala.
Mudavadi added that such impunity could only reduce the democratic space Kenyans have enjoyed for a good number of years now.
Mudavdi who was speaking at Western leaders consultative meeting said he will not allow such impunity to happen and urged Kenyans to protect their democratic rights.
At the meeting, Mudavadi also said nothing would stop him from going for the top seat.
