Mount Kenya’s member of parliaments has switched sides and left the Deputy President, William Ruto alone during these challenging times.
Three Mount Kenyan MPs don’t want anything to do with the Deputy President, William Ruto.
The three-member of Parliaments are from Kirinyaga county, Mwea MP Kabinga Wachira, Gichugu MP Robert Gichimu, and Kirinyaga Central’s John Wambugu were welcomed by Interior PS Karanja Kibicho who addressed a number of public gatherings as he inspected development projects.
This comes after President Uhuru Kenyatta’s purging the Jubilee Party.
The aforementioned MPs have been supportive of Ruto’s 2022 ambition under the well-publicized group famously known as Tanga Tanga.
On Wednesday though, the three MPs disowned the Tanga Tanga movement saying their loyalty lies strictly to President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Jubilee Party alone and nothing else.
Ruto is now left with one loyal politician on his Kirinyaga Woman Rep Purity Ngirici who is the only elected politician who has stood with the DP.
