Deputy president William Samoei Ruto has expressed confidence beyond reasonable doubts that no one can dare rig his victory if he happens to win the 9th August 2022 general elections.
While engaging Mlolongo residents in Machakos county, William Ruto weighed in on the claims that the deep state will make his opponents win.
In response, the deputy president asked residents if his face looked like someone who could be shortchanged in a presidential election.
“watu wa Athi River niwaulize, mkiniangalia vizuri sura vizuri nakaa mtu wa kuny’ang’anywa kura kweli?”Kwani hi kura wataiba mkiwa wapi? These people are useless they cannot do anything. I will win and there is nothing they will do about it.(Look at my face very well, do you think that someone can dare rig my votes in an election?” Posed the deputy president.
Ruto urged the Machakos residents to elect him as the president since he had brought developments in the country for instance connecting many homes to electricity, building the Standard gauge Railway, building many kilometers of roads and the construction of the expressway which is almost complete under his watch.
He also condemned the leadership of the country for not doing anything meaningful to Kenyans except oppressing them. Specifically, he pointed out the recent bodaboda menace and condemned Uhuru’s government for being against small scale traders such as bodabodas.
The deputy president also cited the big 4 agenda and condemned the handshake for not being fulfilled. As a result, he apologized to Mlolongo residents and promised to bring back the big 4 agenda once he is elected into office.
He also not the residents not to vote for Raila Odinga because he is very old and would not do anything meaningful in the country. Consequently, he urged them to choose him by virtue of being young and energetic.
