Former prime minister Raila Amollo Odinga was kind enough to donate some of his minutes to the Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi during the mashujaa day celebrations held at the Wang’uru stadium in Kirinyaga county.
After being called by the Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru to issue his speech, Raila Odinga first invited Mr. Musalia Mudavadi to walk to the podium before he could say anything.
“Your excellency we have other leaders here from the opposition, we have here honorable Musalia Mudavadi, the party leader of ANC, hon Gideon Moi the leader of KANU, hon Moses Wetangula Ford Kenya. I would like to ask my brother Hon Musalia Mudavadi to just say jambo.” Said Raila.
Having been invited, Musalia Mudavadi intimated that it was an auspicious occasion to honor and recognize those who have contributed in various capacities to the well-being of the country.
Musalia acknowledged the tremendous development in the country as he maintained that the foundation built by president Uhuru Kenyatta must continue in future for the betterment of the citizens.
At the same time, the Amani National Congress leader called for peace and tolerance during this particular period so that we can work together as a nation and as a people respecting the boundaries that the constitution provides.
However, various Kenyans expressed mixed reactions with the act of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga to donate a few of his minutes to Mr. Mudavadi.
“Let’s agree am a supporter of ralia but he did a honourable thing to welcome his brother remember even if we disagree their is something that bounds us together”NYANZA AND WESTERN ARE ALL WESTERN KENYA”further musaila is also a states man as those who were scheduled to talk.”
“Raila being ” The People’s President of the Republic of Kenya , it was his responsibility to introduce Officers like Mudavadi , Wetangula , Kalonzo working under him but picked only MDVD coz he’s unable to carry out Campaigns – Sympathy.”
“Na wewe unatambuliwa?Heri Mudavadi,Raila can donate his minutes to him.Wewe ni nani alidonate his minutes to you?.”
“So you mean raila is the one organising programs in government that’s why we have a failed government.”
