The annoyed 24-year-old said authorities were drunk with power and could not stop themselves from harassing innocent citizens. “Police brutality must and should stop. We are tired. Stop taking advantage of your power to intimidate innocent citizens,” the mother of two bellowed. Saumu who is in a relationship with Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip revealed it was still daylight when her man’s dad was shot and injured by officers enforcing curfew laws.

She added such cases were reported many times in the past but nothing was being done to bring the perpetrators to justice. “They shot my father-in-law today yet it was still daytime,” Saumu said.
