Miguna Reacts To Reports That His Union With Ruto Is Troubled

Date:

Activist and lawyer Miguna Miguna has rubbished claims that hisĀ  political ‘marriage’ with William Ruto is troubled.

Reacting to a newspaper headline, that highlighted that,Ā  Miguna maintained that he is married to only one woman, and further dispelled claims that his return to Kenya was a favour he received for supporting the president and Kenya Kwanza in the 2022 general elections.

According to him, being exiled by the previous government does not mean that he had lost his Kenyan citizenship.

“Iā€™m married to one woman. The delusional idea or thought that I supported ā¦@WilliamsRutoā© in exchange for returning to my motherland is a SICK JOKE that must be rejected. I never lost my RIGHTS of CITIZENSHIP. My return wasnā€™t a GIFT. I’m exercising my rights without fear!” he shared on X.

Miguna returned to Kenya in October 20, 2022, after four years in exile.

He had earlier said that he faulted the government regarding the problems that the country isĀ  facing including increased taxation and corruption, hence the reports that he was no longer supporting the government.

I can assure you that in 2027 and beyond, Kenyans will not remember, recognize or be impressed by @WilliamsRutoā€™s eloquence, frequent foreign trips or Kaunda suits. They will remember only their hunger, poverty, unemployment and the cascading astronomical scale of corruption. Donā€™t ever say I didnā€™t warn you,” he said.
