Miguna Offers To Swear In Donald Trump As People’s President If He Loses To Biden

Date:

Lawyer Miguna Miguna on Wednesday offered to swear in USA President Donald Trump as the ‘people’s president’ if he is not declared the winner.

In a tweet that left Kenyans in stitches, Miguna asked Donald Trump to get in touch with him since he is an advocate in Canada.

“@realDonaldTrump: I am an experienced Barrister & Solicitor in Ontario, Canada. I have received instructions from millions of Kenyans asking me to swear you in as “The People’s President.” Please get in touch so that we can discuss my fees and other incidentals,” Miguna’s tweet read.

Miguna’s tweet comes amid a hotly contested election in the US where the incumbent Trump is facing Joe Biden.

On January 30, 2018, Miguna Miguna administered the oath of office to Raila Odinga at Uhuru Park following a hotly contested presidential election that saw two rounds of voting.

On 31 January, police arrested TJ Kajwang, a lawyer who witnessed the ceremony. Two days later, they broke down Mr Miguna’s door in a dawn raid and also detained him.

Mr Miguna said he was then kept “in unlawful incommunicado detention for five days under the most horrendous, cruel and inhumane conditions imaginable”.

He appeared before a court outside Nairobi and was charged with “being present and consenting to the administration of an oath to commit a capital offence, namely treason”.

This explains why Kenyans think Miguna could be of help to Trump with Biden taking an early lead.

President Donald Trump’s campaign filed lawsuits in Pennsylvania, Michigan and Georgia, laying the groundwork for contesting battleground states as he slipped behind Democrat Joe Biden.

The new filings, joining existing Republican legal challenges in Pennsylvania and Nevada, demand better access for campaign observers to locations where ballots are being processed and counted, and raise absentee ballot concerns, according to AP.

The Trump campaign also is seeking to intervene in a Pennsylvania case at the Supreme Court that deals with whether ballots received up to three days after the election can be counted.
