A Member of County Assembly (MCA) from Isiolo has found himself on the wrong side of the law after a stolen cow was found in his home.
The Oldonyiro MCA David Lemantile was found with one of the cows that were stolen in April 2020.
The unidentified victim of the theft said that he lost 72, but was able to recover 64 after the incident.
“I lost 72 cows in April 2020. I have been able to recover 64, eight remaining. We recently got one in MCA Lemantile’s home. I went to the police so that the MCA could be asked to show us where the remaining are,” the farmer told NTV.
According to the victim, he took his lost cow to the police station in a bid to establish the whereabouts of his remaining cow.
He insists that he will not remove his cow from the police station until the missing ones are found.
“I think there was a motive, because after two of my herdsmen were killed among seven others is when we found the cow at the MCA’s home,” he stated.
He however claims that the OCS at the police station where he reported the matter was bribed so as to cancel investigations.
The MCA is yet to respond to the allegations.
