Bishop Margaret Wanjiru on Wednesday taught Nairobi senator Johnson Sakaja another bitter and painful lesson months after she clobbered him.
While accompanying William Ruto at Starehe constituency during their Kenya Kwanza rally, the popularity of Margaret Wanjiru came out openly, something which did not go well with Johnson sakaja.
The deputy president had just given Margaret Wanjiru an opportunity to address the crowd and she was lucky enough as the supporters cheered her as she addressed them. She urged them to elect her come August 2022 and change their lives.
At least for the first time, the Bishop proved her political muscles to Kenyans going by how she was welcomed by the crowd.
After she spoke, William Ruto gave Sakaja the chance to address the crowd and sell his gubernatorial agenda to them. However, all did not go well for Sakaja as the crowd suddenly became cold and bored when he took the microphone.
Unlike when Margaret Wanjiru grabbed the microphone to speak, Johnson Sakaja found himself in unfamiliar territories as the crowd were chanting their own things as opposed to listening to him.
His attempts to beg them to excuse him fell on deaf ears, forcing him to cut short his speech with these words: “let the others speak first.” Due to the hostile ground, the visibly frustrated sakaja quickly returned the microphone to the sender who gave him (DP Ruto.)
However, one thing was clear that the super Nairobi senator has no ground in Nairobi compared to the prayerful Bishop Wanjiru.
In the meantime, the differences between the two leaders played out openly months ago during their kenya Kwanza political rally in Nairobi.
From a video clip seen by Sonko News, the visibly angry Margaret wanjiru was warning Johnson Sakaja that he was in the wrong place. She not only slapped his arms but also lectured him like a small child while on top of their vehicles.
Being a gentleman, Johnson Sakaja played cool in a bid to let the situation pass. However, Sonko News went ahead to establish that sibling rivalry was the major cause of the melee that occurred on that particular Tuesday.
According to our sources, Margaret Wanjiru was so mad at Sakaja because she could not stomach the fact that he was being favored by the UDA fraternity despite being a newcomer who just joined Ruto the other day in the company of the ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi.
