Man Cries Foul As Thieves Steal His Coffins

A Ghanaian man is counting losses after thieves broke into his coffin shop and made away with two coffins.

The carpenter was captured in a video lamenting about the incident as he showed spots of his open space shop that the thieves used to access and leave with the coffins.

The thieves cut the wire mesh surrounding the open space shop and easily left with the coffins.

Bystanders are heard expressing their shock as they have never witnessed such an incident in Mampongteng.

The video was widely shared on social media with some netizens advising him to survey around the community to find out if there is any funeral in a bid to uncover those behind the incident.


“Check your area and see who died,” a netizen said while another blamed the incident on the hard economic times.

Elsewhere, Police in Uganda are investigating an incident whereby thieves broke into Busia health Center and stole valuables from patients.

Most of those affected by the theft were expectants mothers in the maternity wards.

The facility’s administration believe that the thieves used a drug on their victims that made them asleep only to wake up and notice that their belongings were gone.

“No one saw or heard them, we woke up after they had stolen our property,” a patient said.

It is believed that the suspects executed their mission at 1 am while the patients were sleeping.

According to a nurse at the facility, that was the third time the such an occurrence was being witnessed.

“If am to count, this is the third time, but the second time at the maternity,” she told journalists.

The thieves also vandalized a car that was packed outside the facility.
