Mama Mbogas And Bodabodas Left Stranded After Ruto Locks Them Out Of His Hustler Government

Date:

Since time immemorial, deputy president William Samoei Ruto and his close political allies had assured Kenyans that the hustler nation government would be formed by common wananchi/ mama mbogas.

The songs of tutaunda serikali na mama mboga/bodaboda gained popularity in the Kenyan politics that you would be forgiven to conclude that those mama mbogas and bodaboda guys would get opportunities in the United Democratic Alliance (UDA)/hustler government.

According to Ruto and his allies, they have wanted to offer alternative leadership in the country that starts with mtu wa chini all the way to the top.

Well, it has now emerged that tutaunda serikali na mama mboga/bodaboda were just empty promises meant to win votes.

After sharing their UDA nomination fees, it is now clear that Mama mboga, bodaboda and other hustlers  have automatically been locked out of their original ideology, leaving them wondering what they really meant by we will form a government with the common people in the society.

To begin with, any hustler/mama mboga/boda boda who wants to vie for the MCA seat under Ruto’s party will have to pay 50,000 if you are a man and 25,000 if you are a woman or a youth.

Mama mboga/bodaboda who wants to vie for the National Assembly seat in hustler nation will part with 250,000 if you are a man and 125,000 if you are a woman or a youth.

Mama mboga/bodaboda eyeing the woman rep position will pay 250,000 Kenya shillings for older women while youthful mama mbogas/bodabodas will pay 125,000.

Those mama mbogas/bodabodas eyeing the senate seat  will dish out 250,000 for males and 125,000 for both women and youths.

The mama mbogas/bodabodas dreaming to be governors in the hustler government will pay 500,000 shillings for men while both women and youths will pay 250,000.

Finally, any mama mboga or boda boda willing to vie for presidency in the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) will pay 1 million for men, then women and youths will have to submit half a million shillings each.

On their side, Kenyans had the following to say about UDA’s exorbitant nomination fees:

“Hustlers tag is just a tag to hoodwink the gullible. Politics is an expensive affair let noone lie to you. Setting up a secretariat or even running an office with even just one staff is in itself costly. So when someone says tutaunda serikali na mama mboga na wanaboda is just a fallacy and like Babaa’s kitendawili goes it’s like chicken being lured with some maize seeds then caught and slaughtered.”

“I understand the business of politics is no child’s play and often involves a hefty warchest. But I hasten to ask, what do parties do with the political parties funds they receive from the registrar of political parties? With such astronomical nomination fees, politics by default becomes a preserve of the rich and the connected.”

“What happens to a Hustler that wants to offer himself for office and is passionate about serving? It’s even an oxymoron for the Hustler party to charge such exorbitant nomination fees?50K for an MCA nomination? Unless you are moneyed or already in politics, how many can afford such? The owners of UDA need to rethink this.”

“Hii ni yah hustler kweli ….mama mboga cant afford 25k.Chama ya wezi”

“Quite punitive to the real Hustlers.”

“The amount therein is much expensive for real hustlers hence going against the tag of the hustler nation”

“Why is it expensive for men? Do they earn more than their counterparts when they get elected?”

“Why are women paying half? Where does equality apply?”

“This is what Mama Mboga was waiting for. Wacha Sasa ajitayarishe kulipa. Ile 200 yeye hupewa in the name of ’empowerment’ iko karibu kufika 150k to afford nominations fee”

“Ma hustler sisi, mbona payments imekua hivi tena jameni the same as we were in jubilee waaah kunaenda aje bro hapa?”

In short, if you are a broke mama mboga or bodaboda eyeing a political seat in the hustler nation, then you better look for those thousands of money or forever hold your peace.
